So...if I read this correctly, you're advocating forcing a confrontation about whether homosexuality is wrong?

I don't see how such a confrontation is going to accomplish anything useful. "Wrong" is not an objective condition like "Blue", but an indication of a moral judgment, so such an argument is unwinnable by either side. Regardless of whether religion is involved or not, if the two people base their moral positions on different foundations, they'll just talk in circles forever if they don't figure out that they have to agree to disagree.

If Craig still accepts his religion as the basis of his moral positions, and his religion considers homosexuality a sin, then so must he, and he'll need to either resolve that inconsistency or live with it. If he does not believe that homosexuality is a sin, then he's forked his religion and created a splinter branch. It would be far from the first time such a thing has happened...witness the recent Episcopalian schism. Either way, I wish him the best of luck in figuring out where his beliefs lie, and I hope that both his religious and non-religious friends will support him as he does so, and not try to use this as an opportunity to push their own agendas.
